Spider Eye is an award wining and BAFTA nominated UK animation company producing 2D traditional, digital and CGI animation for TV and film. We’ve been in business since 1998 and our two directors both come from over 25 years experience in the animation industry.
Spider Eye were originally based in Oxford Circus, London and then in 2001 moved the whole empire down to the most westerly town in Britain: St Just in Penwith, Cornwall, from where we continue to work with clients all over the world.
We create cartoons: TV series, short films, specials, commercials & VFX in 2D and 3D. We have over 50 in-house digital seats, and a hugely talented crew. Have a look at our work.
In 2013 we completed the second series of our own Bafta nominated show Jungle Junction for Disney Junior, bringing the total to 92 x 11 min episodes. Jungle Junction airs in 149 countries in 30 languages, and reaches over 67 million households. Both series were produced in-house here in Cornwall.
2014 saw completion of our first theatrical feature, Moshi Monsters - the Movie for Mind Candy and distributed by Universal.
In 2015 we completed production on 'Thomas Around the World', a Thomas the Tank Engine motion comic series for Hit Entertainment's YouTube Channel.
In 2016 we completed production on 'Spot Bots' for Cbeebies, a show for which we also designed the main characters and environments.
In 2017 we completed production on 'The Happos Family', a show we both developed and produced for Turner/Boomerang. It is now airing on their channels around the world and reaching over 80 million children. It has been nominated for both a Bafta and a BAA.
In 2018 we completed production services on series 1 of CG pre-school series Dr Panda, based on the hugely successful games and apps, and distributed by 9 story Media Group.
2020 will see production on Series 2 of Dr Panda and completion of production on 'Buddi' for Unanico & Netflix.
We are very proud of our reputation for high end service work, and are also currently in development on a number of new series.
We love animation, and are continually inspired by new projects. We learnt our trade in London, and then moved our company to a remote and beautiful part of the world, where we have managed to build a great team around us. We are always on the lookout for amazing new projects to get involved with.
